The series “Study of Human Mind” plays with the concept of identity. It is a critical approach to the controversy of the human existence. It questions the social and political situation of the individual in its original cultural environment. It is all about existence and ways of coping or getting around it. Fuku creates new identities and shows the inner life of the resulting characters while playing with the layers which are quasi wrapped around it to represent inner horrors and convulsions in a very expressionistic way. To get the effect of the nearly wounded canvas Fuku uses his fist and literally punches the canvas with ink and acryl. Additionally, he takes a bamboo stick to cause the distinct dripping effect. This method allows the artist to show many of the expressive facets of all different feelings and emotions of the thoughts and the psyche of the character. He is constantly working on the same single character giving him versatile traits and manifestations. In fact, it is all about searching for his own identity, trying to grasp it and feel how it is to have one. The paintings offer the viewer encounters with multifaceted identities and maybe even with him- or herself, knowing they are not alone.
